Title: Notification Required Prior to Upgrading Third Party Components Interacting with OnviSource Products

Description: 

This Service Bulletin is a reminder to all OnviSource customers that OnviSource strongly recommends notifying OnviCare Support in advance of any type of upgrades to components that interact with OnviSource products and are purchased from third parties. Notifying OnviCare Support in advance of any such changes or upgrades will result in more efficient deployment of upgrades and will eliminate unnecessary downtime or problems. Your OnviSource service agreement provides the opportunity to consult with OnviSource before incorporating and upgrading third party products connected to your OnviSource system.

The following are a few examples of different types of upgrades related to the third-party components that interact with OnviSource Products:​

Upgrade to premise telecom system​

  • Installation of new premise equipment

    • PBX or ACD

  • Upgrade to a new release of software on existing equipment

    • Cisco Call Manager

    • Audiocodes SmartWorks package

 

Changing telecom infrastructure​

  • New carrier

  • New circuit type

    • SIP trunks

    • PRI vs T1

    • Additional capacity

 

Upgrade to data network infrastructure​

  • New network switches

  • Increased network bandwidth

 

Changing communication devices​

  • New handsets

  • New headsets

  • Wireless communication

 

Changing computer architecture​

  • Desktop OS

  • Virtual servers
