Title: Dispatching Messages During the Daylight Savings Time Change

Description: 

Daylight Savings Time will be effective Sunday, November 7, 2021.

 

On Sunday morning at 2:00 A.M. local time, your dispatch server will automatically reset to 1:00 A.M. local time to account for the reversion to Standard Time.

 

CAUTION:
If a call is processed just before 2:00 A.M. but any associated dispatch message is not sent prior to the time change, that dispatch will remain in the dispatch queue for 60 minutes.

 

OnviSource suggests that your operators withhold sending any dispatches from 1:58 A.M. until the time on their desktop displays 1:02 A.M. to avoid a prolonged delay in dispatching messages.

 

Please make your overnight staff aware of the need to hold dispatch requests for this brief period until after the Daylight Savings Time change.
