OnviSource would like to inform its customers that the deadline for moving services from copper plain old telephone services (POTS) lines is fast approaching. According to FCC Order 19-72A1, U.S. telecommunication companies will no longer be required to support these services after August 2, 2022.

Most every enterprise has POTS lines or copper wire services in their networks. They are typically used for local telephone calls, fax machines, fire alarms, elevators, security, etc. Carriers are moving to address these services when in their interest, but that may not align with your need for migration.
OnviSource encourages companies to address this issue prior to the August deadline as they will have better leverage to compare solutions and find the best fit for their organization.
